Technology driving fleet improvements

How an integrated fuel and telematics management system improved fuel economy.

Reading based Reliance High-Tech (RHT) is the UK’s leading independent security technology integrator and provider of Lone Worker protection services. Accredited to the highest industry standards and working in partnership with the leading CCTV, Access Control and PSIM providers, they deliver innovative technology solutions to blue chip customers across a wide range of demanding security environments.

Andrew Kerr, FD commented;

Whilst we had been very happy with the service provided by CBVC, RHT is focussed on driving up productivity and reducing costs to benefit our clients and we operate a tender system for all suppliers to ensure we get best value. We were always looking for technology-based innovation to improve our productivity and reduce the administrative burden on staff and management.

As part of our review, CBVC presented us with an integrated telematics and fuel card system that; reduces driver administration; encourages good economical driving and lowest cost fuel purchasing which enables us simply to recharge private mileage on an actual cost basis.

As Justin Thompson, Regional Manager for RHT put it;

The new system has made validation of mileage returns simple and much quicker than completing forms, and makes us mindful of fuel purchasing and safe economical driving, and importantly also helps me better understand and manage my team’s workload.

Mike Manners, CBVC MD said;

RHT quite rightly demand the highest standards of performance from their fleet manager, a challenge we are more than happy to accept and exceed. The new telematics system is a quantum leap in terms of vehicle telematics and fuel card integration delivering great simplified data allowing RHT staff to concentrate on generating income for the business.

We are delighted to renew our contract with RHT and look forward to working with them over the coming years to further improve their fleet.
