It seems the hot hatch is back – but this time it’s electric powered.
MG has launched a performance version of its MG4 called XPOWER as the flagship of the range.
Capable of 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds, the XPOWER’s electrifying performance contrasts with a series of understated exterior design revisions, making it ideal for business use.
The new MG4 XPOWER model features a dual motor powertrain which delivers 435PS and what will be an exhilarating 600Nm of torque.
Despite this its range is over 230 miles on a charge – although no doubt this will depend on how enthusiastically the electrons are dispensed by the driver.
Exterior design and specification enhancements include orange ‘XPOWER’ brake caliper covers, a two-tone black roof, new 18 inch Cyclone alloy wheels, polished trim accents and a new Racing Green colour option exclusive to XPOWER.
Inside you’ll find black Alcantara seat upholstery and metal sports pedals.
MG Pilot offers driver assistance systems as standard, with Blind Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Door Opening Warning as useful safety features.
Priced at £36,495, the new MG4 XPOWER is available to lease now.
