MG’s electric car range is incredibly popular, and with good reason. A long driving range, fast charging, and practical interior combine with low monthly costs to provide an accessible offering in the EV market.
Now, CBVC is able to offer the MG5 estate EV as an eLCV.
Using the MG5 EV estate as a van, fleet operators can benefit from all the usual features of the car. This includes a 250 mile official WLTP driving range, which comfortably equates to more than 210 miles in real-world use.
To put that into perspective, the range available from similarly priced electric vans is around 150-170 miles on a charge. And with the estate body shape, little is given away in terms of practicality. At the weekends, the rear seats can be pushed upright to use as a normal estate car.
Charging the 61.1 kWh battery is possible at 100 kW, which means a top-up on an ultra-rapid point can take less than 25 minutes. As such, more than 400 miles is possible in a day with only a single sub-half hour charge.
The rear windows can be blacked out for additional security if required
While there is no change in the tax status of the vehicle, EV benefit-in-kind is so low that drivers pay little in tax: for this financial year the company car tax payable starts from below £10 a month.
Business leasing prices start at a little over £230 per month from CBVC.
